Today’s post will be a little shorter! The last two days I’ve been giving you some tips for shopping the sale. I started there because most of you can shop on the 9th, and it helps you get prepared and get things in your wish list (remember that means shopping the evening of the 8th) Thank you so much for shopping my links!
So far we’ve covered shoes/boots, outerwear and denim. I have copied all the widgets into the SHOP Page which is one of the headings on the home page of my site. This will make it easier for you to find for the remainder of the sale. The widgets in there are SHOES, OUTERWEAR and DENIM.
Today I went to the store and was able to try on numerous pieces for you to see. I specifically focused on some things I had recommended in the widgets– see the outerwear photos on the SHOP page too!
Started out with a bad hair day which only got worse as I tried on all those clothes! Goodness, I wish I could have re-done it half way through the day. I hope you will focus on the clothes, not my hair. LOL!

DENIM REPORT: I added a Kut pair on a whim. They are very comfortable and I’d refer to them as more of a “boyfriend” style. I also tried the Paige Cindy, (they have the unfinished hem in photo below) but by far my favorite was the AG Mari Slim shown here with the large cuff (they were long so I created that temporarily. I don’t love that look -just my opinion though ) Also honorable mention went to the Mother Dazzler. The rise was a little too low to suit me but they were great.
The oversized blazers are plentiful in the sale. I tried on 3.
Nordstrom//(runs very small– I’m wearing a large & it’s too small!) Vince Camuto// (I wanted to like this one because of the green but it too was snug) 1 State Double Breasted // (this one got my vote!) Halogen Sweater// (shown in burgundy here–it’s a winner. I’m wearing a M. )
Thread & Supply// M–very comfortable–my favorite. BlankNYC// M. I liked but preferred the first one. Last year’s shacket was probably my favorite purchase of the entire sale. Who would have thought?
Treasure & Bond// (runs very generous–wearing S) Madewell// (I’m wearing a navy S ) Treasure & Bond// Small
Nordstrom Signature// generous–wearing S. Nordstrom Signature hoodie// Small
The quality is amazing –beautiful cashmere sweaters!
Feherty Reversible// (I’m in a Medium and will need to size up) Treasure & Bond// (they only had a small so that’s what I tried but I need to go up one size. ) Really liked both of these. The second one is hard to see but the contrasting color is olive so it will look great with a utility jacket. I threw these two in the mix because Feherty has become popular and I think it could sell quickly.
This Zella Jacket really surprised me and I wasn’t even going to try it on! I am always a fan of zippers or slits at the side because it really creates a flattering silhouette. I’m wearing a medium
