When I started sharing Holiday Looks a few weeks ago, I had no idea I’d be looking for something myself. My husband is working for a new company, and I didn’t know a thing about a party until after that was written. I thought this would make for perfect back to back posts. I mentioned before that I know this stresses people out, but I had fun. My goal was to come up with THREE options (just for blogging purposes) and see what readers would pick.
It’s hard when you don’t know very much about the party–the venue, the people, past traditions etc. All I knew was that one woman usually goes “all out” every year and that some were wearing dresses. Others might be in nice pants and a sweater. Some guys would be wearing a tie, others not. It’s the lumber business and the Northwest. People are casual, yet sometimes they will surprise you.
So here we go: Option A, B and C. Although my choice is already made, I’d still LOVE to get some comments going and see what you think! I’ll be sharing a follow up post with all the details–sources and how to wear things different ways. I’m planning to write it in a way so you apply the tips to any outfit: accessorizing, when to tuck, not to tuck, and how to deal with changing styles of denim.
