Your Sources for Fall Fashion 2018

Now that I’ve written about some of the Fall Fashion trends, you need to know your best sources. If you are a subscriber and caught my post when it published yesterday morning, I had not yet taped the Portland Today segment. I updated when the video was available. There was a slight glitch so you may have received that updated post in your inbox again. Sorry about that.

Here’s the official video clip of the fashion segment. Now let’s get to the details on what everyone is wearing!

KGW Portland Today Fashion segment

First, my friend Tanya is my Cabi Consultant. She is wearing what is probably her favorite outfit from the line this fall, and it may be mine as well! Pearls and plaid–LOVE!

Collage jacket//Cinch Top// Skinny Cord//Interlock Block Heel//Renegade Bracelet

If you are local, Tanya and I would be happy to work with you together to find the perfect pieces for you. We can help long distance too! If you work with a Cabi consultant, enjoy choosing your fall items this year!

Our next model is Mollie. We’ve been friends for many years, and after my move I don’t see her as often. It was fun to work on this together. While her full-time job as a Project Manager keeps her plenty busy, Mollie has had a side-gig for almost as long as I’ve known her. She loves to cook and right now is enjoying her business with Pampered Chef. If you need to add or replace any kitchen tools, she is your gal.

As I said in the segment, I wanted to help her dress down an outfit and learn how the sneaker could really work for her. She told me that she would have never picked the plaid and we liked it. She has a bunch of long cardigans; I wanted to steer her away from that look. The jacket is a waxed denim, so lightweight and easy to wear with anything –nearly year round. While Eileen Fisher can be a higher price point, this would be one piece where cost per wear would pay off. Invest in the “work horse” pieces and skimp on other things.

The jeans were her own from Lane Bryant. The frame hemline was perfect for what I wanted to highlight. Mollie also liked the Wit and Wisdom and Good American denim.

Our third model Bailey who is a busy mom of two boys. I wanted to vary the age groups with the models. Bailey is the typical “mom on the go” who needs a practical, no-fuss look. Yet, she loves fashion and wants to look put together. She is wearing her own pieces from Modao. The Camo Jacket is J Crew and in the store presently. Below are some links to similar pieces:

I wanted to also promote their store Modao Resale Boutique and speak to the benefits of resale. It’s the place to go to try a trend at a fraction of the cost. They are not consignment, but buy outright. I’m a frequent customer, and I will be featuring this business in a more detailed post very soon.

I mentioned my own Camo print purchases during the try-on post, but since then I’m seeing it everywhere. Camo, pants, tops, tees, shoes and bags. Get yourself some camo!

I’m wearing the Devoted Blouse from Cabi and the Kut from the Kloth Jacket from Anniversary Sale. Boots are Kork-Ease

Here is a photo of the top to show the full effect of the sleeve. I admitted earlier this spring I wasn’t a fan of this sleeve, but it is growing on me. This one is not as long, it’s split in the back, and my jacket slid right over the sleeve. Huge selling point for me!

What fall trend would you like to try?
