It’s been a crazy week, but I’m back to blogging! First and foremost, I realized I forgot to announce the winner on last Wednesday’s post for TREATS. Congratulations to Comment #8-Linda. Today is a short post to prepare for back-back posts on BOOTS and BOOTIES. Look for a series all week with lots of photos.
I realized after one faithful reader asked, Should it Stay or Should it Go did not address the issue of hanging onto clothes that do not fit. I’m honestly not sure how I could have forgotten such an important aspect!
Here is my suggestion: It is perfectly fine to hang on to a few favorites especially if you are within 1-2 sizes of these pieces. I tell clients to put these clothes in a “too small” category and revisit it. I actually think it can be motivating to see this category in your closet on a regular basis. Have I hung onto things–YES! Especially if I paid a good price for them or knew they would fit again. Sometimes it has worked. Admittedly, I recall not that long ago, finally getting rid of a pair of white jeans I picked up on sale in smaller size. My hope was to fit in them again and it just never happened. It was the perfect thing to consign.
Style by Karen is on Facebook. Several months ago I promised Fab Finds every Friday. My hope was to show photos of recent finds from various stores. I kept it going for a bit and then I tended to forget. My goal is to feature a different store occasionally. I hope it will encourage you to venture out to new places. Stores like Talbot’s have dramatically changed their look. A few others are following suit. My Facebook page will always feature my most recent blog post. I’m also going to be offering specials and promos from the business partners I have established–those who have participated in Giveaways.
