Holiday Peek: Favorites from Stella & Dot

Recently I hosted an online event with Stella & Dot. It really caused me to dig into the products, and get to know the features of many of their pieces. The line is so extensive now, it can be hard to keep up! I have shown several of the same familiar pieces in recent posts. I thought I’d highlight some new ones and also offer another Giveaway!

Their holiday line made me start working ahead to some holiday fashion. I’ll be covering that more in depth later in November.

I hear it more and more every year— “I just don’t dress for a holiday party anymore” I can relate. For 10 years straight, we attended a formal work party for my husband. Of course I loved it. Other women dreaded it and wore the same thing every year. I enjoyed the challenge of finding dresses for the following year during January clearance sales. I scored some serious deals. That was then, this is now. I don’t dress formally and haven’t in years.

If you don’t have formal occasion, you can still have fun with the holidays even if it’s just casual parties/dinner with friends and family when everyone will be wearing jeans. In the photos below, I chose a black S & D top with a little detail, black denim, and added velvet booties and accessories. Below are the details and some ways to make the outfit look different.

1. Add a great piece of jewelry.

Keep in mind a couple of the necklace styles can be worn a number of ways, and pieces can be removed thus the description 3 in 1, 5 in 1 etc.

Don’t love necklaces? Go with earrings: Elena, Bardot, Fringe, (note these are 50% off with a $50 purchase ) Pegasus , Ulani, (wear 2 ways)

I tried to give a variety of earring looks, from simple to statement. And there are MORE!

2. Add some interest with your shoes or boots.

I wore this black velvet pair I got last year as I was trying to achieve a longer line for a photo ( I’m only 5’4) but imagine the possibilities with this outfit! Leopard, houndstooth, even the white booties we are seeing everywhere!

These are tempting me… I like the gray leopard print as you don’t see it as often.

Here is this year’s Earth Velvet bootie and oh do I love that burgundy shade! They are running low in Sizes at Zappos, Nordstrom also seems to be selling these like crazy–so don’t delay. For a higher heel, these are really comfortable. If you don’t know about the Earth brand, let me tell you, they are the best!

3. Statement Clutch completes the outfit

I’m carrying the Metallic knit in photos. Clutches are everywhere, but make sure it holds the basics. Even this wallet is large enough to hold your phone and has a great wristlet.

Again, this is just a small taste, and I’ll be sprinkling in many other ideas in weeks to come.

Now, on to the GIVEAWAY!
