If you were not ready to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in July, many of the items are now marked down again for their end of Summer Sale! Nearly every retailer is having a sale Labor Day weekend. It’s a great time to shop. I’m a pretty good online shopper, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

I really focused on pieces that show the biggest savings. Certainly there are lots of tops and always great savings, but jackets and bottoms are your anchor pieces. When building or adding pieces make sure you start there. I also chose some of the best handbags.
Remember the camo print jacket I featured from the Anniversary sale? It’s back in camo AND olive and it’s such a great everything jacket. Also available in extended sizes! In fact if you go back to that post, I believe almost everything I featured in the original post and my try-on session post is on sale if it is still in stock.
Take a look again. Links provided on my posts will bring you to the same item with new prices–some at 50% off. The leather jacket, J Crew topper etc–all marked down again! And that’s the difference to keep in mind. Many other retailers are offering mark-downs on summer items only. I spent a couple of hours scanning other sites, I keep coming back my original pieces as the best bang for your buck And whenever I see Barbour on sale I point it out! It’s also a good time to re-read that post as you are building your coat capsule this fall.

I chose everything that is 50% off. That RARELY happens at Nordstrom because it often gets shipped to The Nordstrom Rack before it gets to 50% off! Here are a few of my favorites, but there are so many more choices. I’m embarrassed to say that I had a post written on handbags during the sale and with video but it never got published. I’m completely stumped on what happened. I have often used the “bag in the bag” concept for travel. This summer I have been putting my small cross body inside a larger bag wherever I go. The small bag has my essentials and I grab that out of the larger bag when I get out of the car. Options 3 and 5 are the perfect size for that. Option 4 is a bit larger but could work too!
