How to Score the Best Shopping Deals

A couple of weeks ago on a very rainy, stormy Saturday I decided to do a little shopping. This is a bit of a novel concept after working retail almost every Saturday for eight years. During that time, I honestly lost my love for shopping. Shopping on a day off seemed like a chore. But on this day I really enjoyed it again. Not that I will keep all of it, but I thought this was a pretty good haul for around $500. The Cabi bag alone has 8 pieces inside for $229!

First stop: The Nordstrom Rack. I needed something for some brighter, spring pictures for the blog. The Rack was having a Clearance. I just picked up things and didn’t feel like trying on. I got this floral blouse for 22.97. (The picture is just a screen shot from a video I did) The coat went back–too big (never typically a problem) and the orange top was only $22, and I really like the scalloped detail, but I have SO much orange. Shoes are Paul Green for $89 and I purchased them when I was planning on wearing a dress for the TV segment. They are a maybe.

Next stop: The Premium Outlet stores in Woodburn. I found this post written almost 7 years ago! Now I live 20 minutes away, but I really haven’t gone but a couple times since we moved.

The Cabi outlet is my favorite. They had some killer deals and all tops were $20! One thing to keep in mind when shopping there. You need to take your time and try on everything multiple times to be sure, as all sales are final. I found a few of their signature novelty tops, but also basic black and white replenishment pieces as well.

Hit the Under Armour store for some new work out clothes, found a new cobalt blue cardigan at White House Black Market and I would say it was a successful day!
